New to You Are My Sunshine: Online Childbirth Classes that include a companion eBook!
Our eyes were opened years ago by our childbirth teacher to the choices and responsibilities new parents have in making active choices during pregnancy and birth, and raising our children in a holistic manner. She guided us in understanding how creating our own empowering birth would lead to confident parenting. We learned to have the courage to trust birth and to listen to our children in guiding our parenting. The focus of our business has been to offer products and services to parents looking for the natural parenting ideal. The support our childbirth teacher gave to us before, during and after the birth of our first child led us to open our home to those seeking holistic childbirth classes and doula services. From there we began our business and now we are offering these same classes online to make the information more affordable and convenient, wishing all of you a peaceful and healthy transition into parenthood.
You Are My Sunshine is both a Maternity-Baby Boutique and a Childbirth Education Center. Come to the boutique to find a friendly atmosphere and firsthand knowledge about cloth diapering, wearing your baby in a wrap or sling, chemical-free mattresses for baby and family, and non-toxic nursery/family furniture finished in a natural tung oil. This furniture contains absolutely no MDF and has no chemical emissions. We have a personalized gift registry at the boutique and here online. Local delivery to baby showers is available.
Owned and operated by a local mom and dad, You Are My Sunshine carries products they find important for their own children. Glass bottles with silicon covers to prevent breaking, stainless steel bottles that convert from sippy cups to sport caps as your child grows, gripper shoes and sun suits just to name a few. Trendy fashions and locally handmade clothing and gifts make You Are My Sunshine a unique place to shop.
Also available at You Are My Sunshine are Natural Childbirth and Holistic Newborn Care Classes. Taught by a doula, these classes will give you strength, confidence and joy. Many parents find that independent classes stress parental choice instead of presenting hospital policy. Join us every 3rd Monday of the month for our Birth Circle where local women can listen to or share their stories of birth. Free for all women interested in pregnancy, pregnant, new moms and seasoned veterans.
